Lori received her Masters in Social Work from USC and her Masters in Nonprofit Management from Hebrew Union College in 1991. In 2016, Lori received an honorary doctorate in Nonprofit Management. She brings more than 25 years of nonprofit management to the role of Executive Director. Prior to joining LEAP, Lori spent six years as the Chief Development Officer at CALM. Lori has worked directly with children and families in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her passion for promoting the success and well being of children and families in our community and for building a trauma-informed, healthy work culture is embedded in all that we do.
Lori became Executive Director of LEAP in January, 2018. She currently serves on the Executive Committee for Santa Barbara County Kids Connection, on the steering committee for the ACES Network, as a member of the Child Abuse Prevention Committee (CAPC) and as the chair for the alumni committee of Courage to Lead. In her free time, Lori enjoys trivia and competing in game shows. A Jeopardy! Champion, Lori appeared on Jeopardy! on September 11 and 12, 2018 and appeared on the game show Master Minds on January 14, 2021. She is married to Rabbi Evan Goodman and is the mother of two grown sons, Ilan and Noah.
