Steve Ortiz
For 17 years, Steve Ortiz has served as a dedicated member of the United Way of Santa Barbara County team, becoming the organization’s President and CEO in 2017. During his time with the organization, Ortiz has built strong local collaboratives and partnerships and has been an integral player in the organization’s robust new initiatives focused on critical issues including school readiness and academic achievement, financial empowerment, and response and recovery efforts in times of community crisis. From award-winning educational programming to impactful relief in times of crisis, Ortiz brings experienced organizational leadership and a renewed focus on the organization’s commitment to resilient community-building. As part of his commitment to the philanthropic community in Santa Barbara, Ortiz also serves on the Board of Directors for Cottage Health and as the Commission Chair for First 5 of Santa Barbara County.
Jordan Killebrew
Jordan Killebrew is a Santa Barbara local who has an abnormal love of community. He is a Santa Barbara County District 2 Representative working with County Supervisor Laura Capps. Previously he worked for almost seven years at the Santa Barbara Foundation, in the capacity of Director of Communications, which his work resembled his passion for strategy, public relations, and relationship building. As a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, he revels in the pride of being a Gaucho and the opportunity to serve his community by volunteering with local nonprofits and organizations.
